Fruit and veg has always been top quality. Nice and fresh. The meat is also top quality, unlike your supermarket. Personally i find it reasonably priced for the quality of food. Always recommend to all. Additionally, it's part of the Q Guild association. Look it up online.

Beautiful setting for the Windsor Farm Shop. Lots of lovely produce on offer. Great Butchers & Deli counter. Also has some Royalty Themed gifts. It has a Cafe on site. We visit quite regularly. Worth visiting if you havn't been already.

Vegetables from the Royal farms. It cant get more royal than this. I was in Windsor for a few months so had the privilege of visiting them. Even walked over once, the full 30 minutes from my place, and what a lovely place it is!The selection of breads is my special favourite and the tins of toffee and biscuits in all designs and sizes with the royal family happily beaming at you from their beautiful designs. What a place Windsor is and you havent completed your tour of the Windsor Castle until you have visited The Royal Doll house and have had a detailed look at the Farm Shop.

If you are visiting the caf and are very hungry, do not order the large salad plate 6.95. There wasn't much salad, it was more of a garnish really. Some people near us had a delicious looking egg mayo sandwich 6.50, which was served on a larger plate with more salad than I got. It was also cheaper than ordering a plate of salad. Also, my partners toast was burnt, served burnt side down.I didn't like to make a fuss so I asked the waitress about it after we'd eaten. She said they don't serve up too much salad as they don't want to overwhelm the plate with lettuce!!!! I did order a large salad plate (I think it defies the trade description act). I also mentioned the burnt toast and she said I should have mentioned it sooner. No apology was offered, she just said 'well now you know for next time'. I did feel that we had been ripped off to be honest, I was rather disappointed and had expected better from the Windsor Farm Shop.

In the past I've enjoyed great coffee and cake here (the cake this morning was still great) but went for breakfast with a friend this time. The egg was only slightly cooked - lots of clear albumen (raw egg white) and cold yolk. The bacon had barely touched the pan/grill, and although the sausage had a great flavour, it was also barely lukewarm and only had slight browning on one small section. Mushrooms were tasty but cold.Just praying that as I assume the eggs are from a Royal accredited flock that I won't go down with salmonella later. I know, I should have rejected the food when placed at the table, guess it was the English desire not to offend that stopped me.
